Colin tutored my son for his Foundation Maths GCSE some 10 years ago. George had ADHD and therefore had not only had gaps in Primary School basic maths from inattention, but also still suffered with attention problems in all things academic. Colin was determined he would get his GCSE and just kept going with him, never losing patience and never giving up. George got his C grade GCSE....by 1 mark!. This qualification, (along with his B grade English), has proved to be a passport to jobs which would otherwise have not considered him for employment. As well as teaching George Maths, I believe that Colin gave him the confidence to believe in himself - that yes, he could do Maths, same as anyone else. He went on to work with under-performing children in 2 schools - teaching them Maths himself! George is now at the end of year 2 of his University degree in Psychology/Criminology, and recently gained 72% in an assignment on Statistics: unbelievable, but it just goes to show what dedicated 1:1 good tutoring can achieve. Colin quite literally created an environment where my daughter could learn to enjoy maths again, to take away the "scary" side of it. My daughter came to absolutely love her maths tuition for her GCSE's and frankly, without Colin's never-ending patience and enthusiasm for the subject, I'm not sure that she would have passed. Colin took the time and patience to explain the basics and then build on that foundation for full understanding on the methodology.

Colin's passion for the subject combined with his kind patience, is what every child requires when travelling the "maths journey".

Colin was an amazing help and an inspiration while tutoring me at A level maths. Not only did he ignite a passion for the subject along with a strong interest in physics but he somehow made it fun (something I always thought impossible).

It is clear that he has an immense amount of knowledge in the subjects and a passion for passing that knowledge onto others.
